1. When was Lomar established?
The idea began in 2002, but the company was established in 2005.
2. What does Lomar mean?
It is a combination of the founders’ names Loai & Mona.
3. Why is it referred to by (re defined Thobe)?
Because we have changed the concept of traditional Thobe for a decade to a modern Thobe which suits the requirements of businessmen, accompanied by the needs of young people.
4. Why did you change the Thobe?
We did not change the Thobe; essentially it is still the same. What we did do is make some adjustments, and added some new features.
5. Who was first in changing the concept of what a Thobe can be?
Loai Naseem and his wife Mona Haddad, the two head designers and co-founders, would be the pioneers in re-defining the Thobe.
6. What kind of fabrics used?
Natural cotton, linen, silk, and material used for Mishlahs.
7. Does Lomar accept external fabrics from customers?
Lomar does accept external fabrics only for the classic thobes and for the business collection.
8. Why is it expensive?
We feel that the higher end pricing reflects the high quality end product, this is achieved by:
a. distinguished and original designs
b. the high quality of fabrics used
c. precise tailoring
9. How many branches does Lomar have?
Lomar currently has 2 branches in Jeddah, 1 branch in Riyadh, 1 branch in AlKhobar. Additionally they have plans to open further stores in
10. Who are the head designers?
Loai Naseem and his wife, Mona Alhaddad are the head designers. They studies on each of the designs and test it before introducing them to the line.
11. What are some of the accessories that can be used with thobes that Lomar sell?
- Lomar glass buttons.
- Coke wood buttons from natural coke tree.
- Distinguished metal zipper.

- Some back to school accessories for children.
12. What are the services provided to the customers?
If any damage happened for Thobe such as in zippers or buttons or shortening Thobe or make it longer we do fix it without any charge.
But if any damage happened by client we do take certain amount of money.
13. How can the customer choose a design?
We display all the models with pictures of each thobe modeled to make it easier for the client to choose. Also, our sales team helps the client choose the appropriate thobe that the client is trying to find.
14. What is the method of payment?
The customer pays half the amount upon request, and the remaining half upon receipt of the thobe.
15. Are there discounts?
There are special offers made on certain occasions of the year.
In addition there are discounts given to some companies and banks as agreed to between themselves and Lomar.
16. How to take measurements in the web page?
There are three ways:
a. Select your size (S, M, L, or XL) which you can pick by the drop down ‘size’ box.
b. Fill in the details of your size on the ‘My Size’ page, by following the steps outlined on the site.
c. If you have visited our show room before, we will use the size we have in our records.
17. Is it possible to purchase through the Internet?
Yes it’s possible to purchase through the Internet.
